The annual New York City Faux Founders Day celebration, organized by Parker Weil, Beta Pi ’85, has been scheduled for Thursday, March 6, 2025, 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at Olde City Cheesesteaks (Olde City), 66 Madison Avenue (near 27th Street), New York, New York.
One of the co-owners of Olde City is Scott Krase, Beta Pi ’86. In the past he has closed his establishment to the general public during this event. Beta Pi brothers “had the run of the place”, a place that has a decidedly Philadelphia ambience. The walls are covered with posters, banners, photos, and pennants displaying Philadelphia-based college and professional teams, as well as Penn State University. If any of these teams are in action that evening, be assured that Olde City televisions will carry them…and don’t forget the great cheesesteaks, fries, wings, and burgers if you are hungry. Good advice: come hungry.
